After experiencing an intense ego death, The Parts That Make the Whole was made to explore identity of past and present to form an identity the artist can move forward with into the future. It represents Jo with different emotions, looks, and ages over time and space.

Based on a poem about heartbreak and push-pull relationships, a snake and a butterfly is an unfair match is a performance and drawing work that touches on how we tend to feel as though people take and take away from us and our energy, but we also tend to dump our own energy onto them.

untitled follows the narrative of feeling lost and not knowing where you’re going, but seeing hope. You may feel despondent and dejected in the moment, but some way, somehow, there is a path leading you into who you’re supposed to become.
